Dr A K Sen Gupta is a known Teacher, Researcher and Thinker in the parlance of Higher Education in India. A Ph.D. in Commerce, he is the Founder & Convener of Higher Education Forum (HEF), the largest community in the space of Higher Education in India with more than 3,500 members. This is the largest think tank for Higher Education in India. HEF is involved in a number of capacity building activities for two of most important stakeholders of education namely, Students and Teachers.
Currently he is the Founding Director of SIES School of Learning and Leadership Development (SIESSLLD) and Mentor of SIESCOMS / SIESSBS.
Some of his past assignments include Professor & Director of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan’s S P Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai, one of top business schools in the country, Director & Mentor, SIES College of Management Studies (SIESCOMS), Navi Mumbai, World Bank Consultant and instrumental in setting up National Banking College (NBC) as the apex banking training & research institute for Sub-Saharan English speaking Africa in Ghana, Africa and Professor at National Institute of Bank Management (NIBM), Pune, India. He started his career as a Banker with Punjab National Bank and worked there for more than a decade in various Managerial Capacities.
Dr Sen Gupta is an avid researcher & writer with 6 books to his credit and more than 50 research articles in National and International Journals
With 29 years of professional experience spanning Corporate Human Resources and Academia, Suma is passionate about developing talent and enabling growth through teaching, mentoring, leadership development, and stakeholder training. Her career spans 17 years in Corporate HR within the Shipping and Logistics sector and 12 years in academics, allowing her to bring a distinctive blend of industry expertise and academic perspective to learning and development initiatives.
Since 2014, Suma has been associated with the SIES Family, contributing to faculty development, student mentoring, stakeholder training, and capacity-building initiatives. Her work encompasses teaching, mentoring, training, and leadership development for students in Higher Education Institutions, with an emphasis on capability building, personal growth, and continuous learning.
As a Ph.D. Research Scholar in Management, she actively engages in research and academic inquiry, with published papers and articles contributing to her areas of interest.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, she is committed to contributing to social impact and community development, with a particular focus on women's empowerment, education, and senior citizen welfare. She believes in leveraging knowledge and experience to drive meaningful and sustainable societal change.
A Mathematics graduate and MBA professional, Sharanya Nair brings together academic excellence, creativity, and organizational expertise. A consistent achiever throughout her academic journey, she was a topper in both her school and college examinations and was honored with the Best Student Award. During her school years, she also had the opportunity to publish an article in TIMES NIE , reflecting her early passion for writing and communication.
During her tenure at SIESSLLD, she has designed over 80 promotional and academic communication materials, contributed to the publication of ISBN books, designed and edited newsletters and training compendiums, created multiple training videos, and supported the execution of numerous institutional training programs. She has also facilitated student development sessions and co-facilitated workshops for administrators and educators. Her professional strengths lie in learning and development, content creation, program administration, stakeholder coordination, and educational technology integration. With a strong commitment to continuous learning and innovation, she strives to create meaningful learning experiences that positively impact both educators and learners.
